Farewell Picnic

Well, it is time to say goodbye. Or, is it just see you the next time? In any case, the Farewell Picnic is the last event of the 50 Year Reunion of the 1968 graduating class of Hebert High School. From 2:00PM to 6:00PM, we will gather at Glen Bodwin’s home in Winnie. He has plenty of space for all of us and a few guests, too. You may invite four additional people. Along with our classmates, that’s a lot of people. Isn’t it? Don’t worry. Your registration fee covers you and your guests. Many are planning to bring family members. If so, we get to meet your kids, grandkids, and in the case of a few of us, great-grandkids, too. We plan to eat hot dogs, hamburgers, potato chips, and possibly a cookie or two. There will be games and outdoor fun. If we are nice to him, Glen may let us ride his ATV or look at one of his horses. If it rains, the good news is that Glen has a barn to accommodate us. Did you notice that Winnie is part way back to Houston for those who live in the Houston area? So, after the Sunday Morning worship service on Jun 24, 2018, those who live in Houston can pack their bags then keep rolling once we leave Glen’s home. But, while we are there, let’s especially remember the past week and look forward to the next time. If only we could do this every five years or so. Wait a minute. We, actually, do schedule a reunion every five years (too much ice cream late at night causes a brain freeze). We will send each other off with God’s blessings, peace, great joy, and anticipation for the next Reunion.
